Our Step By Step Process for Buying
Meet and Greet!
The first step is for us to meet and get to know each other. My goal is to understand your needs and must haves so I can better assist and find you the right property. We will also discuss financing options and introduce you to my partnered lenders so we can search with confidence!
Listings and Viewings
Once you are ready to begin your search, I will send you options that meet your criteria based on our initial conversations. Transparency is important, don’t hesitate to be upfront about your thoughts on what you are seeing. Once you see some options you like we'll schedule viewings to look at the properties. I’ll make sure to have all the necessary paperwork with us so we can make an educated decision on the property.
Offer and Acceptance
Once we find the right home it’s time to make an offer! Here I will present our written offer to the seller and negotiate on your behalf. There may be times where the seller will counter with their offer. Don’t be discouraged, it is all part of the process! Once the offer is accepted, I will connect you with my partnered attorney to review the contract. We’ll also work with the lender on the next steps in financing.
Inspection & Appraisal
The next steps are the inspection and appraisal process. An appraisal is an objective way to assess the home's market value and ensure that the amount of money requested by the borrower is appropriate. The home inspection is when a professional inspector makes sure everything in the house is functioning properly and identifies needed repairs. Once these steps are done, we are at the home stretch!
Closing & Celebrate!
Now it’s the fun part, it’s time to close! During this time the final paperwork gets wrapped up and the down payment is made. Be prepared keep about an hour for closing, you’ll be signing a lot of papers! It’s all exciting though, because after that you are officially a home owner! Time to celebrate!
